Freedom to Read Award: Nomination Form

The Writers’ Union of Canada (TWUC) is seeking nominations for the 2025 TWUC Freedom to Read Award. TWUC presents its Freedom to Read Award each year as part of the celebration of Freedom to Read (FTR) Week across the country.

Nominations should include a short biography of the individual stating why they are deserving of the honour. This award will typically honour an individual, but it may be awarded to an organization or group that has worked to support freedom of expression. The award is intended for citizens or residents of Canada. If you have any questions about the nomination process, please contact info@writersunion.ca.

Submit your nomination using the form below.
